The West's Best: "N" is for NighttimeThe question is: With all the cool stuff and potential cash at your fingertips in Las Vegas, are you sure you want to play golf at night? For many of us, the answer is a resounding “yes.” After all, in a city known for its “Only in Vegas” experiences, this golfer’s paradise, of sorts, just might top them all on the “unique” scale. Yes, like everything else in Sin City, golf doesn’t have to stop when the sun goes down. And how many other golf destinations can say that? What’s more, there are two places to get your golf on after dark — Angel Park out in the northwest and the Callaway Center right at the end of Las Vegas Boulevard. Angel Park has been a fan favorite for years, with locals naming it “Best in Las Vegas” year after year. It not only boasts a nine-hole lighted par-3 course modeled after some of the world’s most famous short holes, but it also includes an 18-hole putting course and full-service driving range, all of which can be enjoyed long after you’ve clocked out at work. The Callaway Center also features a nine-hole golf course, and with its slightly longer yardage, you can swing a few mid-irons at times in comparison to Angel Park’s wedgefest. Callaway also offers a two-tiered driving range with both grass and synthetic tees. Either way you go, you’re golfing at night, and that’s pretty cool in its own right. You probably won’t want to head over to the course every night, but when the last-minute golf jones hits you with no time to get in a full-length nine, Angel Park and the Callaway Center definitely do the trick. But don’t get us wrong, these tracks aren’t open 24/7, so make sure you check out how late tee times are running based on season. We promise, it’s a night call you want to make.
