Swing first...ball second.

Great tip to those of us who are suffering from snowfall that is prohibiting us from getting out on the course…
My wife won’t like me swinging the clubs inside… but hey, she will get over it.

Here’s a lil tidbit I picked up and it helped me go from a 19 to a 14 in about a month…without ever hitting a ball. Sounds crazy but it really worked for me. Get a 7-iron or other scoring club and go thru slow motion backswings, breaking down each part. If you are not sure how it should look, go grab your favorite golf instruction book or get someone with a good working knowledge of the swing to help you out. Once you get the back swing down, proceed with regular backswings and slow swings. Be mindful of what your feet, hips, shoulders, hands, and head are doing. Just doing this without a ball to take your focus away will allow you to really feel what how your body moves during the swing.
I did this for a month without ever hitting a ball and when I finally played it was like I was someone else. If you can’t help but play, then try working on your swing more than beating balls at the range. Just because you hit a million balls doesn’t mean that they are all good ones. Make your practice time count.
