Kevin Dillon of TV's Entourage Gives FG the LowDown On …

Favorite golf movie:
“Caddyshack, by far.”

Caddyshack character he’d like to play: “Michael O’Keefe’s character, Danny. [Affects perfect Ted Knight voice] ‘Danny, there’s no gambling here at Bushwood, and I never slice!’ Wait … I may have to scratch that and go with Ted Knight’s character.”

Entourage co-star who’s closest to his character in real life:“I’m gonna go with Adrian [Grenier]. He’s the closest to Vince.”

Who bitches most about the scripts: “Jerry Ferrara [Turtle], probably, because he’s always looking for a little more storyline, and he deserves it. He’s a great character. Don’t get me wrong. He loves the scripts. They’re solid.”

Latest on the set:
“I’ve gotta say Jeremy Piven, then Jerry Ferrara. We call him Tardy Ferrara.”

Biggest practical joker: “Kevin Connolly for sure. He’s a clown, in a good way.”

Favorite episode: “I have two. I’m gonna say the one where we went to Sundance. That was a pretty funny episode. And when we went to Comicon [a national comic book convention], and I had the Vikingquest helmet on and we went to the U2 concert and Bono did the shoutout for Johnny Drama. We’ve got some great stuff this season too; the episode where we go to the Valley [for the opening of Vince’s movie Aquaman] is in my Top 5.”

Favorite guest shot:
“Gary Busey is always great. We had two Busey episodes. He’s a character, way out there. Just roll the cameras and you don’t know what you’re gonna get. The script goes out the window, but what he says is so hilarious that sometimes it might be better than the script.”

Favorite script story:
“The line in one episode [in which Busey guest-starred] where we’re coming out of the elevator and Turtle says, ‘Fredo is angry,’ Kevin Connolly tried to buy that line. He wanted it so bad he offered cash for it, but Jerry wouldn’t give it up. ... Kevin tried to buy another line just the other day — ‘Leave the gun, take the cannoli.’ Another one from The Godfather. It was more appropriate for Turtle, but Kevin wanted it. He gets the serious lines. And he gets the girls. Me and Jerry get the funny lines, but we don’t get the women.”

Favorite PGA Tour players: “Payne Stewart was my favorite, but now I’m going to have to say Ernie Els. I do love Tiger, but the Big Easy is so laid back, mellow. I’ve never watched him in person, though. I do go over to Westchester Country Club when I’m in town. It’s fun to watch the pros hit the ball, but I never was there when Ernie was there. I did watch Vijay at the range, and it was unbelievable. He’s a driving machine.”

Dream foursome: “Let’s put the Big Easy in there. We’ll put my dad in there, and put Mark Wahlberg in there. I love playing with him. And my wife’s brother, who’s from Scotland, and a plus-2. A serious golfer, and a lot of fun to play with. He’ll try to qualify for the British Open. Every year he’s the club champ at a couple different clubs around. His short game is sick. It’s unbelievable. And he’s got all the windy knockdown shots. I put it up in the air and it blows all over the place.”
